Found in Béziers, this late 19th-century table was built for two, the small round kind a French household kept for morning coffee and quiet meals away from the big table. A round top rests on a single central post that spreads at the bottom into three curved legs. The single post is the point of it, holding the top up without a leg at any corner, so chairs could be drawn in close all the way around a table this small. Sylvie sets it by a window with a chair pulled up, just big enough for coffee and a plate and the book you are halfway through.
Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
Notes from Sylvie:
Dear collector, as with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it. Because of its moving mechanism these tables tend to have a bit of a wiggle to them, specifically the table surface. They are still perfectly functional though. Folded dimensions: 41” H x 20” D x 25.5" W
