Antique Styling Essential Sylvie Favorite

Sourced from a ruin in Seville, these mid-19th century terracotta pots spent years underwater before they were found. The time submerged is what makes them, plaster from the original surface still clinging to the clay and traces of algae worked into it over the years. Under all of it is the classic Mediterranean form, the shape these pots have always had, carried from Spanish soil down into the water and back. Sylvie fills one with the flowers she's just foraged and sets it on the table, where the rough old clay makes the fresh stems look even better.

Dear collector, this piece may have chips, cracks and patina from years of loving use. We have several of these and some have more plaster stuck to the exterior than others, sizing and shape varies because these are handmade vessels.
