Spanish Martini Table

Found in Montpellier, this iron side table was forged in Spain in the 1930s, the kind of small table a village blacksmith might have made for a café corner or a quiet spot beside a chair. The curled tripod base rises into a slender stem that holds a simple round top with a raised lip, all shaped by hand rather than machine. Over the decades the iron has settled into a deep, earthy patina from years of use. Sylvie pulls it beside a chair with a candle or a glass of wine resting on top.
