Spanish Demi Lune Table

Spain, 20th Century

$1,795

Antique Hard To Find Sylvie Favorite

From a masia outside Barcelona, this early-20th-century Spanish table is one clever half of a pair. Each one is a half-round, built to sit flat against a wall and stay out of the way, until company came and the two were pushed together into a single round table big enough to gather around. It is the kind of solution a farmhouse worked out long ago, furniture that came into the middle of the room when it was wanted and slipped back to the walls when it wasn't. Sylvie stands one against a wall in an entry with a vase and a lamp, and brings the second over when there are enough people to fill a round table. Two available, sold separately.
