Vintage Sylvie Favorite Set of 2

Found in Carpentras, this pair of 20th-century French ceramic horse statues was modelled as two rearing horses, each one glazed in a soft cream that's gone faintly crackled across the surface. They were sold as statues, but Sylvie saw them as bookends and brought them home that way. Sylvie sets them on a shelf with a row of old books standing between them, the kind with soft cloth spines and titles in French.
