Talk about good bones. This cast concrete pedestal, found in France, takes its cues from classical architecture with a fluted column and Corinthian-inspired capital, all softened by years spent outdoors. Traces of moss, weathering, and surface wear give it the sort of texture that decorators spend years trying to fake. Originally designed as an architectural support, it now makes a striking perch for a French bust, sculptural vessel, or overflowing arrangement. Sylvie loves it in an entryway, library, or forgotten corner where it brings a little château grandeur to the room without demanding too much attention.
