Regency Oak Sideboard

A sideboard of this grandeur doesn’t come around often, in fact it’s so long it nearly didn’t fit through the doors of the Sylvie Estate. This oak three-door sideboard is made in the Regency style, a design movement that developed in England in the early 19th century during the Prince Regent’s rule (1811–1820), when furniture emphasized balanced proportions, classical influence, and refined paneling inspired by Greek and Roman forms. The broad top, paneled doors, scalloped apron, and warm sanded oak finish give it a strong architectural presence, while the interior shelf provides practical storage for serving pieces and linens. Originally sideboards like this anchored dining rooms and organized the flow of meals, and Sylvie loves it topped with a few collected objects and a stack of well-thumbed books.
