Found in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon and originally from the Alps, this 19th-century low bookcase is built from thick, solid wood with a warm, time-darkened finish. You can see the marks of use across the surface, worn in from years of daily life, likely holding crockery, linens, or books in a mountain home. Sylvie uses it in a dining room stacked with plates and serving pieces, or low along a wall with a mix of books and objects.
