Antique Wood Sylvie Favorite

This Tuscan walnut table has the slim, practical proportions that made it a staple in farmhouses. Three drawers kept small tools and household essentials close at hand, and the well-worn top shows years of daily use. Found by Sylvie in Montpellier, it now moonlights beautifully as a hallway console or a compact writing desk.

Notes from Sylvie:

As with many antiques, this piece has gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it. On one side of the tabletop there is a hole, probably where a knot used to be and a scrap of french newspaper that has stuck to the tabletop. There are some old hand hammered nails in the tabletop.
