Fruit Basket

A wire basket with the confidence of a sculpture. Found in Montpellier and originally from a home in Marseille, this painted metal basket was crafted from twisted wire with a flared pedestal and zigzag edge. The design feels playful yet deliberate, the kind of everyday object that quietly doubles as art. Once piled with fruit in a Provençal kitchen, it still catches the light beautifully. Sylvie keeps hers in constant rotation-filled with citrus one week, left empty the next, always striking on the table.
