This Spanish terracotta bust, found in Catalonia mounted on an old brick base, dates to the early 19th century but carries the spirit of classical antiquity. Likely inspired by Renaissance or Hellenistic studies of the female form, her softened expression and weathered surface reveal years of sun and dust from a southern atelier. Sylvie loves her as she is, crumbling, quiet, and full of secrets.
