Antique One-Of-A-Kind Hard To Find

Small but mighty, this petite bench from a farm near La Coste packs more history than meets the eye. Found outside Montpelier, its timeworn seat and sturdy arms hint at generations of farmers pausing mid-day with baskets, gossip, or a glass of vin rouge. Sylvie imagines it now holding court in an entryway, a hallway perch for tying shoes, or even styled at the end of a bed, proof that size is no measure of character.

We just love the round scar burned into the seat and imagine its from a le crueset set down, while it was still hot. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
