Antique One-Of-A-Kind Sylvie Favorite

Found outside Lyon and likely originating from the Bordeaux wine region, this early 20th-century French wine tasting table would have lived in a working cellar or tasting room during harvest season. The large circular top is constructed from wide solid planks with visible knots, natural tonal shifts, and a soft, warm finish developed over years of handling. It rests on a folding trestle base so it could be stored away once the pressing and tastings were over. Sylvie loves it as a small breakfast table or as an entryway piece layered with books, a vase, and the day’s mail.

Notes from Sylvie:

As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it. There is a slight gap and separation between the boards in the middle. Because of its moving mechanism these wine tasting tables tend to have a bit of a wiggle to them, they are still perfectly functional though.
