Tucked away in the back streets of Lyon, this early 20th-century walnut desk was discovered hidden in an old warehouse, waiting to be brought back into the light. The warm walnut grain and turned legs reflect the kind of craftsmanship meant for daily use, sturdy but refined enough for both writing and reading. Originally built as a working desk, it now slips easily into a study, hallway, or bedroom corner, ready to catch notebooks, laptops, or a small stack of correspondence.

Notes from Sylvie:

This piece is in excellent condition, with original gleaming finish and only minor wear on the very bottom of the legs. It was damaged in transit, but we got the piece back and had our master woodworker repair it skillfully. There are a few minor scratches to the table surface. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
