Antique One-Of-A-Kind Sylvie Favorite

Sylvie opened the door and immediately pictured it filled with toys, puzzles, and a little chaos. Made in Savoie in the 19th century and found in Avignon, this hand-carved cupboard has floral motifs on the upper and lower panels, a scalloped base, and its original latch hardware. Decades of opening and closing have left the edges rounded and the carvings softly faded. Perfect as a toy cupboard or for storing linens you actually want to see every day. One of one, exactly as pictured; wear consistent with age.

Sanded back to the raw wood with antique piece functions perfectly, latches love aside with ease to allow someone with hands full to open easily. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
