Sylvie first saw these chairs in Lyon and couldn’t stop staring, but the price felt out of reach. She walked away, only to think about them for days after. In Avignon, just as she was about to leave town, there they were again — same dealer, same chairs, as if they’d been waiting for her. This time, she didn’t let them slip. A pair of early 1900s wrought iron chairs from a maison in the Rhône-Alpes region, their backs curling into dramatic scrolls, their woven seats still strong. The iron carries its age with grace, each mark a reminder of the decades they’ve lived through.
