French Rush Stool

France, 20th Century

$345

This is a true Sylvie favorite. The 1900 Provincial French Rush Seat Stool is a wonderful example of early 20th-century French provincial furniture. Hand carved from oak with a hand-woven rush seat, these stools were commonly found in rural French homes and farms. Their sturdy construction is evident in the turned wooden legs and the natural patina developed over time. Sylvie adores using this stool as an accent to a cozy fireplace or living room, a nightstand or a place to put your book.
