White Martres Tolosane Pot

France, 19th Century

Antique Rare Sylvie Favorite
We found this white Martres Tolosane pot in Pézenas - a graceful 18th-century example of southwest France’s ceramic tradition. Made from red clay and finished with a soft white glaze with a light hint of pink, these pieces once stored duck confit. Sylvie keeps hers on the entryway table filled with tulips, or by the stove holding wooden spoons.

Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
