Antique Wood Pedestal

A grand little moment of architecture. This 19th-century wooden column - found by a seller in the markets of Avignon has the stature of a pedestal and the soul of a side table. Sylvie likes hers topped with a vase of wild tulips, or stacked with well-loved books and a glass of something chilled.
