The Fromage Safe

France, 19th Century

$395

Antique One-Of-A-Kind Kitchen Must Have
Turns out, the French had a better system for keeping bugs off their cheese. Found in Pézenas and taken from a fromagerie, this wooden safe was built with screened sides and a simple frame - just enough to do the job. Sylvie uses hers for alfresco dining with her closest friends, stocked with cheese, fruit, and a bottle that’s already been opened.
