Oh, these little stools! Shaped like a demi-lune and perched on bold bobbin legs, they come from early 20th-century French farmhouses where they were used as low milking stools or work perches near the hearth. Their compact design made them easy to move from room to room, while the turned legs added a bit of flair to everyday function. We have two, each with slightly different wear on the seat. Sylvie keeps one beside the tub for a book and bath salts, and the other by her reading chair with a steaming mug and whatever novel she’s deep in...

Notes from Sylvie:
This antique piece wears its history beautifully. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
