The Long Way Home
A chair leaves a workshop in Lyon in 1890. It passes through a parlor, then a farmhouse, then a daughter’s apartment in Paris, before surfacing again at an estate sale on a grey Tuesday in November. Each piece took the long way - through marriages, through moves, with people whose names are long forgotten. Every long way leads somewhere. This one ends with you.
